  • Besides listing and leasing, your home may need some steps before it’s rent-ready. We’ll contract out painting, repairs, and cleaning so that it is move-in ready.

    Because every home has different needs, vacancy management is charged on an hourly basis.

  • Do you always forget to change your furnace filter? Need a plumber and don’t know who to call? Want someone to check on your home while you’re wintering in Florida? Contact us to fill in those gaps.

  • Michigan notary public, will travel. $10 plus travel time and mileage. Free for tenants and owners

Is Your Property Rent-Ready?

Tips for a move-in ready home

(If this seems overwhelming, we’ll do it all for you!)

  1. Review your municipality’s rental code and ensure your property meets it in all ways.

  2. Check the smoke detectors. If more than 10 years old, we need to replace them. If fewer than 10 years old, change the batteries.

  3. Ensure that we have a CO detector on each floor.

  4. Remove all belongings and trash.

  5. Check everything: faucets, drains, appliances, windows, doors. Does fridge have all the shelves? Has the dryer vent been cleaned lately? Does the stove have new drip pans? Do all windows lock? Any slow drains?

  6. Repair holes in walls, baseboards, screens.

  7. Touch-up paint or a full paint will go a long way!

  8. Fix anything wobbly or loose.

  9. Replace or clean the blinds (if you don’t have blinds, put them in at a minimum in the bedrooms.)

  10. Take care of any pest control issues.

  11. Consider any upgrades that would make the property more attractive and comfortable to tenants.

  12. Clean up the yard, spruce up plants, mulch, and landscaping.

  13. Change the locks.

  14. Clean from bottom to top. Have the carpets cleaned. We highly recommend professional cleaning
